Dean thinks that he falls more and more in love with Castiel every day, and the day of Kate’s wedding to Richard Castle is no different.
At the reception, once the speeches have been given and the first dances have happened, Dean manages to pull Castiel out onto the dance floor. Someone had gotten the DJ to play the song that Dean and Cas had danced to at their reception and there was no way in hell Dean was going to pass up the chance to show off the man he loved. Castiel griped of course, he wasn’t terribly fond of dancing, but one smile from Dean was all it took before the ex-angel was sighing and getting up from his chair. He was just thankful that it was a slow song this time.
Cas fits into Dean’s arms like he made for them, letting his head rest on his husband’s shoulder as they sway back and forth. Dean’s at the perfect height to sing the words of the song right into Castiel’s ear, much like he did when they got married three years ago. “And all along I believed I would find you. Time has brought your heart to me, I have loved you for a thousand years, I’ll love you for a thousand more.”
So yeah, Cas hates dancing and Dean’s not too fond of wearing a tux, but right now they’re so wrapped up in their own little world that they don’t care. They have one another and that’s all that matters.
